Chloe's first birthday!

This beautiful little thing is turning one! We had the funnest challenge trying to get the weather to cooperate and her little 11 month old "i-can-walk-so-i-am-going-to-run-everywhere-and-not-pay-attention-to-you-because-of-my-new-found-independence" self to get these.

Oh, and did I mention she is my daughter? Since memorial day was this week, I thought it fitting to give a little background on Chloe's name. She is named after a very special person, her great grandma Chloe Louella, who she never met in this earthly life. I never was able to meet her either, but I hear from everyone that knew her that she exemplified all the traits of a wife, mother and a selfless human being. "She was extremely independent, strong, and talented." Those are always the first things I hear about her. I also hear how much she loved her children and family. She passed away after giving birth to her sixth child, and their was never a doubt in her mind that child was supposed to come to this earth. She was very strong with her faith and was one of the kindest people you would ever meet. She was always serving and making sure that everyone was taken care of. What an example to name your child after. I hope Chloe proudly wears her name and follows her example. I hope I can too.

Sorry for the sappy post, without further adieu, here is my little Chloe Louella.
